LED screen dynamic scanning and static scanning
With the development of LED technology industry, the brightness of LED display has been improved as well, as the size is getting smaller and smaller, which says that indoor LED screen is becoming a new trend.
However, due to LED brightness and pixel density have been improved that brings the LED display control methods and the scanning drive a new and higher requirement.
Currently, there are two types of driving mode of the LED display, static scanning and dynamic scanning.
The static scanning is including static real pixels and static virtual types,
and dynamic scanning is including dynamic real image and dynamic virtual.
LED screen scanning way means the ratio of light up quantity of rows to the entire area quantity of rows.
Normally, there are 1/2,1/4,1/8,1/16 and 1/32 scanning.
Dynamic scanning: Dynamic scanning is the control of “point to column” from the output of driver IC to the pixel, it’s working principle is to make use of the temporary vision feature of human eyes, a row of LEDs lighted up separately in a very short period of time.
The dynamic scanning needs the control circuit, though its lower cost than static scanning, the LED display performance is poor and the loss of brightness is more.
Static scanning: Static scanning is also called 1/1 scanning which means the control of “point to point” from the output of driver IC to the pixel.
